Munich
Home to the world renown Oktoberfest, Munich is situated in the Bavarian region of Germany. Beer halls are scattered about the city with the emblem of the brewer hanging above the entrance. Munich was the first German city to adopt strict purity standards regarding beer production with the 1516 Bavarian law, stating that water, barley and hops were the only ingredients allowed in the production of beer. Biergartens in Munich provide a unique way to experience the exceptional quality of German beer, you need only purchase a drink from one of the many purveyors in the biergarten in order to sit and enjoy your own food at one of the long community tables. Munich exudes a cozy, comfortable feel in its streets, extending that feeling into it's market squares and biergartens, making it a wonderful city to visit.
