Hallstatt
A quaint hamlet perched on the side of a mountain overlooking the Hallstattersee, Hallstatt is home to the world's first known salt mine which dates back to prehistoric times. The salt mine, seated above the small village, provides daily tours of the mine for interested visitors. Regal swans float through the beautiful waters and have no reservations taking food from your finger tips. The 360 degree views from the picturesque village make it a hard place to leave and one you wish to return to one day. |
